What age groups can submit?
"Our Voice" is a platform the mainly serves middle school girls as YWCA Girls Group Mentoring Program has always focused on serving girls during this transitional period of their lives.
Is this program only for girls?
At the YWCA, which includes Girls Group Mentoring Program, our use of “girls” and “women” is inclusive of all cis and trans women, non-binary, gender non-conforming, gender queer, and any female-identified folk.
How can does one join this program?
If you're a middle school girl* and would like to submit your work and become a mentee check out the "How to Join" page on this website or email ggmp@berkeley-ywca.org if you have any other inquires.
Does it cost money to join/submit work to this program?
There is no cost to submit your work to "Our Voice" and get involved with Girls Group Mentoring Program.
Is Girls Group Mentoring Program an organization?
Girls Group Mentoring Program is one of the programs offered and run through Berkeley/Oakland branch of YWCA. YWCA Berkeley/Oakland is a non profit organization that works to empower women and eliminate racism while developing leaders and promoting peace, justice, freedom, and dignity for all.
